Our annual Family Walk and Run event for people with special needs takes place in early summer. In addition to its role as a fundraiser, the event is a healthy and enjoyable way for families to stay active, and to support the goal of promoting the community involvement of people with special needs.
This inspiring event is dependent on our valued sponsors, all of whom receive public recognition for their sponsorship. All sponsorship funds are used to support the services of the Meta Centre or our capital campaign.
This year, the Meta Foundation’s 10th Annual Family Walk & Run and Virtual Charity Race was held on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the Vaughan West Business Park.
It was a BIG SUCCESS. We raised more than $140,000. These proceeds will go towards providing community based services to children and adults with special needs in Toronto and York Region.
